Our Work in the Sakai Community
Open Source
Open source communities invite all members to be co-owners of the software in return for taking responsibility for its growth and well-being. Open source software is not free (as in no cost); it just represents another way of using your money. There is no license fee to pay, so you can invest your funds in training, customization, or development. Open source communities depend upon their members to keep the software current and applicable to the needs of as many community members as possible. We invite you to consider becoming a member of the Sakai community.
Our History in the Community
Each Three Canoes Consultant has had extensive experience with open source in education. We are long standing members of the Sakai community and want to assist you in becoming a productive member of our community.
Contributing Back to the Community
Our preference is for our clients to work with us to contribute what we accomplish together back to the Sakai community. Each community member benefits from what others have contributed to Sakai. By contributing what we produce together, we keep the community alive and responsive to your continuing needs. If you prefer not to contribute, we will not object, but our goal is to make it easy and efficient for you to contribute what we create together.
